We couldn't have ordered better weather for Easter this year. It was a gorgeous day and we spent the entire morning and most of the afternoon outside. Once everyone arrived we had an egg hunt for the kids. Most of them were super into it and loved trying to track down the special big egg with their name on it. Zach thought the hunt was fun but had no desire to actually put the eggs in his basket. Before everyone arrived Reed was insistent that he help me with decorations. He and Kieran made a bunny village and he made an Easter banner to hang on the garage.

March 2018 Happenings
I feel like I blinked and March was over but looking back through my phone I guess we did do quite a lot. While we had lots of planned outings during the month, there were also lots of fun moments in between, including when C gave each of the kids a lift to do some fruit picking at Pepe's and I actually managed to take a kind of cute picture of me and the boys.
We went to see Monster Jam with the Johnsons at the beginning of the month. Apparently the show was a bit of a let down compared to last year, but since we had nothing to compare it too, the boys were super impressed and have been playing "Monster Trucks" ever since.
Clara turned five in the middle of the month and had a Girl Superhero themed party. She was so sweet and made her dessert selection based on what Reed would be able to eat. It's hard to believe that these kiddos that seem to have been babies and toddlers for so long are all of the sudden big kids!
That same week C had a Birthday but Tio was on a trip to Chile for work so we postponed the celebrating until Sunday dinner. It must have been a rough night with the kids because I ended up with only a couple of pictures. I did manage to capture a picture of her reading the book Reed made for her which he was so excited about!
On the last day before Spring Break Reed's school had a farm day and encouraged the kids to dress up like farmers. Reed wanted to look like Grandpa and Tio so he wore a McClarty Farms hat, plaid shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots. I know I'm biased but he looked so freakin' adorable!!!
Great Papa Dean turned 90 at the end of the month so Uncle Mark and Aunt Penny hosted a Birthday Party in his honor. I think he loved being the center of attention and it was fun to see the kids all interact together. We even discovered my second cousin's daughter will be at the same school as Kieran in another year.
Shannon and Bri planned a Friend-Easter again this year and once again Tio proved himself as the Kid Whisperer having about 15 kids hanging on his every word. The boys loved the pizza, dessert, and egg hunt. They also ran around the park for about an hour straight and Clara and I came up with a game called Sneaky Ballerinas where we tried to run from spot to spot hiding from all of the adults.
During the month we also managed to get to three different Fresno Football Club (the new semi-professional soccer team) matches. The first two games where freezing cold but the boys managed to hang in there and by the third we were in lightweight sweatshirts and singing along with some of the chants. The games have been pretty well attended and it's so exciting for something like this to come to Fresno, we plan to go to many more this season.
On the very last day of the month we prepped for Easter at our house by decorating some faux Easter eggs. The boys had a blast and, much to my delight, required way less supervision than in years past.
