At the beginning of November we took the boys out of school for a few days and headed to Hawaii with Nonna and Pepe. Jon and Pepe had a multiple day meeting on Maui they needed to go to so we decided to tag along, extend the trip, and make a vacation out of it. This was definitely the biggest vacation the boys have ever been on. Now that they are older it's so nice that we don't need big car seats, strollers, pack 'n plays, etc. plus it's fun knowing they'll at least be able to remember parts of the trip!
We packed a lot of fun into our time on the island and all had a great time! The first day was the only day there weren't also work obligations so we did a lot. Kieran had opted to pick a vacation excursion instead of having a birthday party and much to our surprise chose parasailing. Both boys absolutely loved it and say they want to go again. On the way to parasailing we hit up the aquarium which was a nice stop too. We ended our day with a luau. The boys thought it was great (and so did we). They drank virgin mai-tais, got fake tattoos, Reed volunteered to learn a hula on stage, and the buffet dinner was extremely allergy friendly which was awesome!
