90s Halloween

This year C and Tio chose a 90s theme for their annual Halloween party. We had a few ideas we floated by the boys that were vetoed but finally we landed on Austin Powers and I think the costumes turned out great. Reed let his hair grow a full month after he needed a haircut to get a shaggy Austin Powers hair do and Kieran shaved his head to be the perfect Dr. Evil. Everyone else did a great job too. Laurie even turned their toddler car into a Dumb and Dumber Shaggin' Wagon! Ms. Frizzle and Lizzie from Magic Schoolbus, Garth and Wayne, the cast from Clueless, Ace Ventura, Sean Connery, Selena, Randy Savage, Turd Ferguson, the Spice Girls, a few Forest Gumps, and lots of 1990s outfits made the party. The night ended with a magician that kept the kids absolutely spell bound. The Halloween party is always one of our favorite nights and this year definitely didn't disappoint!

Halloween 2018

Halloween morning I made the boys let me take pictures since I wasn't sure what the condition of their costumes would be at the end of the day. Kieran chose to be a pirate and Reed, The Flash. The boys can't have weapons or masks at school but I promised they could wear them for trick or treating later. I couldn't get away from the office but C was sweet and sent me pictures from K and Lyla's preschool party, which Kier said was the best. Not wanting to be left out, Jon and I got in on the Halloween action too and dressed up with some of our coworkers.

On our way to music class we stopped by C's house for some trick or treating and then after class we hit up Nonna and Pepe's, Grandma and Grandpa's, and Mark and Penny's. The boys bags were overflowing with treats, crafts, and other fun goodies. They had such a fun night!

 

Halloween is Super Pun!!!

C and Tio chose a "pun" theme for this year's Halloween party and it was a blast. We had a lot of fun trying to guess what everyone was. I didn't get pictures of everyone but did my best to capture some of the great costumes. They also had a balloon artist/bubble-ologist who the kids thought was amazing. His bubble show ended with each kid being put inside their own bubble.

Halloween 2017 Continued

After a fun party over the weekend the Halloween festivities continued with Kieran having a class party at his preschool on Monday. Tuesday was actually Halloween and the boys both dressed up Kieran as hulk and Reed as Ironman. Kieran went to his library group with Grandma while Reed went trick-or-treating with his class downtown. A few of us at HMC managed to dress up and Grandma and K picked Reed up from school and brought them to the office to do a bit more trick-or-treating. After work I met the boys at music class where they got to play a special game with Miss Hannah and then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for our final round of trick-or-treating, a visit with Great Papa Dean and Great Grandma Didi, a world series game, and some delicious chili. What a day!!!
