Birthday Twins

With so many of our friends' kids born right around Jon's Birthday it was inevitable that one of them would end up sharing his actual birthdate and last year it finally happened when Miss Maisie was born. Allie and Chris decided to throw a Flamingo themed 1st Birthday party for her this year on her actual Birthday. When I told Allie that I thought Jon would be coming along with me and the boys to the party she took it upon herself to make him a coordinating pink and gold Birthday hat and ordered him his very own smash cake!!! The boys had a blast playing with the Clovis boys (there was only one other girl at the party and she is 5 months old), Kieran couldn't stop talking about Carver all the way home and at one point Reed and Parker were holding hands while they walked around the backyard talking about Paw Patrol toys, it really was adorable. The party, food, and decorations were all fabulous and the boys absolutely loved playing with the bubble machine, whacking the piñata, and playing with all of the fun toys and kids. Although kids parties aren't Jon's thing I think he did have a pretty good time hanging with the guys, having a couple of beers, and was even a pretty good sport about wearing his party hat and posing for pictures with his Birthday twin. Chris and Allie are two of our favorite people so it's no surprise that Maisie is an absolute sweetheart and we feel pretty lucky to be part of her life!!!
