December Activities and Celebrations

I thought I would recap some of the fun we've been having over the last few weeks. First up was a trip to Cindy Lane (a local neighborhood that most of the houses go all out with Christmas lights). C and I invited ourselves to Chris and Allie's two years ago to visit them, have pizza, and walk around the decorated neighborhood. They've been so sweet to include us in their annual visit ever since and even rented a horse drawn carriage for everyone this year. The kids had a blast playing together beforehand and were in awe of all of the Christmas decorations

I've been trying to do little holiday things with the boys here and there. So far we've watched a couple of Christmas movies, played outside a ton, read a lot of holiday books, picked out gifts for loved ones, made some cookies, wrapped presents, done some crafts, made hot chocolate, and helped grant a little boy his Christmas wish from a giving tree at Reed's school. I've been trying to be a lot better about being in the moment with the boys so I haven't snapped many pictures but below are a couple I found on my phone.

One of the boys' best friends, Connor, is right in between them in age.  Whenever we spend time with Connor the boys can't stop talking about him for days and when they found out he was having a Paw Patrol themed Birthday Party I think their obsession with him went to the next level! Despite it being a super cold day Reed and Kieran had a blast at the party. Playing in the bounce house for hours, devouring pizza and cupcakes, and slugging away at the piƱata. Kier had a full blown meltdown when it was time to leave and Reed asked if we could stay and have dinner with Connor (it was 1:00pm at the time). It was a great day celebrating one of our favorite Little Guys!
