2017 Christmas Performances

We had a total of three Christmas Performances to attend this year - one at each kid's school and then the music school both Reed and Kieran attend also had their recital/performance. First up was Reed's Kindergarten class performance. The parents of half of the Kindergarten classes assembled in the cafeteria to listen to about 10 different holiday songs and then head back to the classrooms to build gingerbread houses with the kids. Reed was very excited to have us at school and did a good job singing along to most of the songs. He loved giving us the presents he had made in class and was of course very particular about exactly how we should build our gingerbread house.

Next up was Kieran's preschool class performance. K's performance included the two other classrooms of kids at the school and that meant that we knew a ton of the kids performing. It was really cute to see them all up on stage together. Kieran sang most of the songs and really got into one where they could free style dance. After the performance we got to go back to his classroom for gifts and to look at all of the crafts they had been working on.

Last up was the Reedley School of Music performance. Luckily Reed and Kieran's classes were able to perform at the same concert with Kieran being in the second group (Emmett and Rory were the first group) and Reed being one of the last kids to perform his solo. Kieran did a great job singling loudly and clearly and also playing his instruments when he was supposed to. We had been out of town all weekend so Reed hadn't been able to practice his solo much but he did a great job introducing himself to the audience and playing an almost perfect version of Jolly Old Saint Nick.
