Jumperoo

While my post about Christmas was pretty long, I didn't really mention any gifts. We knew Reed wouldn't remember this first Christmas so we asked everyone to take it easy on the gift front, and thankfully they did. Of course there were still presents to open, but nothing too over the top. The little man got a few new ensembles to add to his wardrobe, a couple new toys he'll be able to start playing with in the months to come, and some very special piggy banks. Also my dad had a rocking horse, his grandfather made for him, refurbished and it is now happily residing in the nursery, too cool!

Santa did bring Reed a few things as well, mainly toys that are supposed to be good for teething and spoons for trying out solid foods, both things which he will be experiencing in the months to come. On top of these practical gifts, Santa Claus hit the nail on the head with Reed's big gift, the Rain forest Jumperoo. We were a little hesitant to try it out, because Reed is so young, but anytime you hold him he is always trying to straighten his legs and bounce a bit, plus the instructions said he could be put in it as long as he could hold his head and neck up - which he's been doing for about two months now. We put him in the Jumperoo and watched his delight. He LOVES this thing! Check the kid out in action:

Sometimes toys and hands can be distracting and put the jumping on hold . . .

I have a video of Reed in the jumperoo that is pretty funny, but the orientation is locked in the wrong direction. As soon as I get that fixed I will post it as well, so check back later this week!
