This week Reed had the opportunity to hang out with four of his Great Grandparents. On Wednesday he was with Nonna while I was at work and Great Gran and Great Papa stopped in to stay hi. Apparently the Little Guy put on quite a show and they were still there when Jon and I made it over to take him home. We decided to continue the fun by going to the Schoolhouse Restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious, as always, and Reed was a well behaved boy. I guess we didn't manage to get one picture with everyone's eyes open (I took the first, a waiter the second) so use your imagination and combine the two.
On Thursday Reed and I headed up to Great Papa Dean and Great Grandma Didi's ranch. It is absolutely beautiful up there this time of year with the green hillsides, wild flowers, and blossoms covering the valley floor. Reed loved seeing the cows down in the pasture and even their sometimes grumpy dog took a liking to our Little Man. Great Grandma Didi is originally form Iceland and brought Reed back a children's book from her visit this past summer. I had hoped to get a video of her reading it to him in Icelandic, but he only tolerated a page before he wanted down to go back outside again. It was a great afternoon and made me realize that the half hour drive up to their place makes for a very nice afternoon field trip. An added bonus is that we picked Grandma up on our way and Grandpa made a surprise stop by too.
