When Halloween and Birthdays Collide!

The day after C and Tio's fun Halloween Party we celebrated Tio's Birthday with a nice dinner at Nonna and Pepe's house. Each of the three older kids took a turn telling Tio why they love him and why they wanted him to have a good Birthday, it was spontaneous and super sweet (well except for Kieran who just wanted to tell Tio about squishing avocado on bread). Tio also released a snake Nonna had caught which the boys thought was super cool. Our kids are so lucky to have such an amazing Tio in their lives, I mean really, he's the best!

Later in the week Reed had his school dress-up party. He had wanted to wear his Hulk costume from Fun Day but when the temperature took a nose dive I suggested something warmer and he decided going as a Cowboy would be fun. Of course since Reed was dressing up Kieran wanted to as well, so I had two Buckaroos to help model our teal pumpkin on the front porch before heading to school. Reed was pretty excited about his school party because they got to parade through the other two classrooms and show off their costumes. It was also one of his classmate's Birthdays so this meant cupcakes on top of the already fun party the teachers had organized!

Then on Saturday Ashley and Yayo threw a "Donuts in Disguise" party for Eliana's 2nd Birthday. This time Reed wore an astronaut costume G-Momma had given us a few years ago and Kieran wore an outfit that Nonna and Pepe had brought back from one of their trips (I'm not sure where it is from - maybe Cambodia or Thailand). Jon dressed up as a pirate and I was a butterfly but I failed to get a picture of the two of us. The kids had a great time at the party and the donut spread was absolutely adorable! The only donuts the boys have ever had have been homemade ones that were Reed friendly. Reed said he was fine with me bringing a cupcake for him and Kieran got to try donuts for the first time - I think love at first bite is an understatement!!!
