We are in Trouble!

Thursday was my Birthday, we wanted to celebrate but went back and forth on what we should do. Ultimately we decided to go out to dinner with Reed and my parents. We went to a fairly nice restaurant called The Schoolhouse . Luckily the owners are family friends and regularly have kids in the dining room. Jon called ahead to make reservations and explained Reed's allergies, they were more than accomadating. The little guy was able to order directly off of the kids menu (which is fabulous and not filled with things like chicken tenders and grilled cheese) and they made sure that the food was prepared free of all of his allergens and even took precautions to avoid cross-contamination issues - IT WAS WONDERFUL!!! Reed ate an entire 4oz Flat Iron Steak and had a little of the apple and broccoli that were served as sides, plus an entire single-serving bag of graham crackers and some rice milk that I had brought along.

We were at the restaurant for almost two hours and Reed was on his best behavior the entire time, we were so proud of him. I think part of the reason he was on such good behavior was he found himself a girlfriend. No, not a cute two year old blondie, a waitress - a very cute, brunette, 20 year old, waitress! He was smitten from the moment he laid eyes on her. Everytime she walked into the room he would start waving frantically at her until she waved back and then he'd flash his devilish grin her direction. He waved to our male waiter once or twice and besides that he ignored all of the other wait staff. The first couple times it happened we just thought he was in one of his good moods, but then after about the 20th time, Jon and I just looked at each other and said "we are in trouble."
