Reed has been continuously improving his grammar and understanding of words and so the laugh out loud ridiculous things he says have become fewer and farther between. You'll see this month that his thoughts are more complex and he has A LOT of questions for us (why? why? why?) right now. I will continue to keep track of the funny things he says but will probably only do one of these every few months from here on out.
A few weeks ago Reed followed Kieran when he crawled under the kitchen table, when he tried to sit up he found himself stuck and I overheard him say "table, why am I stuck under here? Hmmm, this table doesn't talk, how confusing!!!"
One Sunday night as Chelsea brought her plate to the table Reed loudly asked "are you going to eat ALL of that food C?"
Yesterday Reed told me that he was scared of monsters and when I asked him where he had heard about monsters he replied "you know that tiny black monster in my room I talk to a lot? His name is Canto."
When Reed went to the bathroom with Grandma he farted while peeing. He declared that it was called a "poot, because that's a pee and a toot."
Reed had been trying to get Jon's attention while Jon was watching a soccer game (which is nearly impossible). After not much luck he turned to me and said "Mom can you try to get Dad to listen to me?"
The Monkey really wants to be a Cowboy for Halloween. After his Birthday he asked what the next holidays were so I told him that the next holiday was Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas. He thought for a minute and then told me that he thought "Christmas needs to be first so I can get a lasso before Halloween."
One night I saw Reed stick his fork in the finger hold of his water bottle and start turning it. I asked what he was doing and he informed me that he was "opening his wine."
He cornered me in the kitchen with this series of questions a few weeks back: "Who builds people? Who built me?" How did Mom and Dad build me? Mom, did you guys lose a piece when you made me?"
I spilled a bunch of Kieran's puffs while cleaning up from dinner. Reed started laughing and then singing "Hal-eee-u-lah it's raining puffs!!!"
