So the last couple of weeks we've been hit with the sickies. First Grandma got a bad case of bronchitis that put her out of commission. This meant she couldn't babysit and Nonna ended up watching Lyla and Kieran while I took Reed to the office for a few hours, then Jon did lunch with the boys, and Nonna finished up the day when Tio was able to come home early to watch Lyla (I refer to this as our "it takes a village" day). Reed did great at the office and had a blast being Auntie P's helper and watching videos with Pepe. He also, of course, got a little Nonna time in when we dropped off Kieran.

This past weekend was our friend Cameron's daughter, Cambria's first Birthday. All four of us planned on attending but when Reed woke up Saturday he was complaining of a sore throat and by the time of the party he was coughing, had a runny nose, and looked exhausted. Jon stayed with Reed while Kieran and I went to the party. We had a good time and K latched onto Parker and Carver who are just a little older than him and of course, Cambria. Highlights included Kier and Carver laying under Lyla's seat waiting to eat puffs she dropped and the kids in awe of the gumball/toy dispensers. Carver had the best face, he kept looking at us like - are you guys seeing what I'm seeing here???

Is Carver's face not amazing? |
We had talked up the party earlier in the week and Reed handled not going really well but was still disappointed. We promised him he still got to eat the allergy friendly pig cupcake I had made for him to take to the party.

This was Reed's happy face while sick |
Unfortunately Reed wasn't feeling any better on Sunday and I was starting to get a sore throat so I stayed home with the boys while Jon went to a Super Bowl party for a couple of hours. We basically just had the game on in the background while the boys and I snacked and played, then Jon came home barbecued for us and we all watched the end of the game together after bath time.

It was a long few days of the Icky Sickies but we are finally all on the mend, thank goodness!!!
