MLS All-Star Game

Jon and I have been Arsenal (an EPL soccer team) fans for over a decade now and so of course Reed has become quite the fan himself. During the soccer season he watches a lot of the games with Jon and knows a couple of players and also has a pretty good understanding of the general rules of the game. The Major League Soccer All-Star game is played against a different EPL team every year and we found out a few months ago that they would be playing Arsenal in San Jose this year. We were bummed because we didn't think we would be able to get to the game given that it is our busy season at work, but two days before we decided to bite the bullet, buy tickets, and make it work. Arsenal playing in the US is unheard of, let alone just a few hours north of us! We left Kieran with C and Tio for the evening and took Reed along with us. Jon was able to get off of work early, we got to San Jose, watched the game, and headed home. It was a long day, especially for Reed, but the three of us had a great time together and are so glad we went. Arsenal won the game and Jon was able to sit next to a huge fan and talk shop the whole game so I think that made him happy. The highlight for him was definitely running into one of the best players in the world (Kaka) after the game and getting a picture with him. I also think Kieran had just about as much fun so it was definitely an all around success!!!
