After breakfast we exchanged Christmas gifts and had a great time watching the kids open and play with their presents. FYI - Kieran doesn't have pants on in half of these pictures because there was a slight potty training accident.
I had the grand plan of Kieran napping at Nonna and Pepe's before the rest of the family arrived but he only slept briefly which meant by dinner time he was a complete mess. Unfortunately that meant I didn't get to spend much time at the dinner table but I did at least get to scarf down some of Pepe's delicious meal and Papa's awesome lasagna. Halfway through dinner Reed asked if he could go lay down because he was so tired, but once he tried to go to sleep I think he realized the fun he was missing out on and somehow rallied. Kier did manage to pull it together long enough to get really into singing Jingle Bells with Lyla and Reed and then they serenaded Nonna with the Happy Birthday song, unfortunately after that the Grump returned. Luckily his gift from Aunt Di Di, a duck towel, apparently had magical powers because he turned back into our happy kid once he put it on his head and basically walked around with it on the rest of the night.
